Just thought anyone reading on the forum might like something a little lighter than usual. Last week i accepted and order for an appraisal on a reverse mortgage. So far not too unusual, however, when I arrived at the residence (cough, cough) I was awestruck. The dwelling was a 12x30 Lark Portable Storage Building, i bed, 1 bath, small living room and a kitchen; neat as a pin. Unfortunately it does not meet FHA criteria and it was on 4.5 acres which was worth significantly more than the dwelling. After speaking with the mortgage company and sending in the photos, it was eventually cancelled. Sometime it would be nice if the loan officer went to the property to see what they were trying to make a loan against. Anyway, hope everyone enjoyed my adventure. If anyone else has a good (unusual) property, maybe we can share some on this forum for a little humor.
